About this app

This app shows the "Shelter in Place" project created with Interactive Immersive Reality (IIR) technology. SHELTER IN PLACE is a portion of the Empyrean Temple, an Honoraria grant art installation selected by The Burning Man Project for the Burning Man 2020 Event. Since the Burning Man was cancelled, a portion of the Empyrean Temple is proposed to be placed in front of the City Hall of San Francisco. This is an act of faith that Burning Man will happen in 2021 and that these structures will be rebuilt there. This art installation is simulated during day and night. With this app you can immersively see the art from any angle using on screen controls.
