This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing NYCbook on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. About this app

NYCbook app serves as an extension to the physical photobook "New York City Through a Tour Guide's Eyes," a photographic guidebook by Evgeniya Simmons, showcasing major NYC landmarks in Augmented Reality. This app allows users to see New York's skyscrapers and statues in 3D, experience a virtual art gallery, New Year's Eve Ball Drop and much more.

In order to see the 3D models, aim your rear facing camera towards a selected page in the book. The list of Augmented Reality pages is indicated in the app's menu.

NYCbook Application utilizes Augmented Reality technology to recognize the position of printable component markers. This process is done on the device and does not transmit images to a cloud based service.
