Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Beacon on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

A beacon is a marker for an event, be it a party, pickup game, or anything you can think of, that is visible on the map screen. To drop a beacon tap and hold the map screen at the event location for about two seconds then release.

They can be public (anyone on the app can see them on the map) or private (only your friends will be notified and able to see it). Beacons will disappear automatically after the duration you set or when you manually delete them.

Discover beacons to find new things to do with new people in new places or create beacons (tap and hold the map screen at the event location for about a second) to let others know whats going on! Add friends and followers so you always have something to do.

Set the duration (how long people can see it on the map) of a beacon to anywhere between 10min and 13hours.

Easy in app access to google maps lets you get directions to a beacon simply and quickly.

Push Notifications notify you when your friend have placed a beacon.

Discover events by searching keywords in the search bar.
