Amazing tool for adventuring! I was about to buy a GPS device for hundreds of dollars, then discovered Avenza. Now I have the perfect tool to digitally access my favorite maps (it's worth paying for the quality maps!) and be able to see exactly where I am, even when I'm far off the grid and out of cell service. I can track my routes, track my progress, drop pins at my favorite campsites and so much more. If you love maps and love adventuring, this app is a fantastic.

Fantastic! I used it a little bit backpacking but mostly to find where I was when I was lazy. Mostly relying on paper maps. Thought it was nice to get maps I couldnt find. But then I moved to the coast and got a boat, and got a ton of free marine depth and channel marker maps and it was life changing! Just this morning a ton of fog set in and I navigated back almost exclusively by this app.

Brilliant! Powerful and incredibly useful. Just completed a 7 night hike along the famous Grand Traverse in South Africa/Lesotho and two days were totally obscured by misty conditions. This App helped us navigate precisely, easily and safely through passes and to find our overnight caves and campsites. The whole group downloaded the app on their phones ensuring everyone could find their way back if they got lost. So many helpful features. Will use Avenza on my next hike for sure.

Had it on my tablet for several weeks now and it seems pretty good (although due to lockdown I can't actually test it out on the tracks but I don't see why it won't work fine) I only wish it was possible to store the map files on external SD card as with many other mapping apps. UPDATE: Been using it for a few thousand kms now & it's great in my opinion. Very stable & meets my needs perfectly. Recommended.

Amazing app. I use it in the field to find my way around in very rural areas with no signal at all... And it works like a charm. Avenza has helped me to find my way in the most crazy places. If it wasn't for Avenza I'd probably still be a lost fart.

This app with the use of the Bayfield WI snowmobile trail map help us get out of the woods because the trails were not marked well all the time. We were running low on gas and it was starting to get dark. We had been trying to get back to our starting point for over 1.5 hours. This app showed us exactly where we were on the trail. It is highly endorsed and recommended. Just remember it does use GPS and you can always lose the signal so you should always have alternate Maps available.
