Muhammadi Medical Trust is a non-political, non-commercial institution, which was founded by a few pious and generous people like Muhammad Shafiq Janjua. Bao Muhammad Saeed (deceased), Khursheed Abbasi, Haji Muhammad Anwar (deceased) Muhammad Aslam Khokhar (deceased), Dr. Aslam Gul and Muhammad Saeed in 1979. It was started as a small dispensary in a small shop where the chairs and tables were brought from houses. As the number of patients increased, it was shifted to a big building and the services of expert doctors for diabetes heart and eyes were hired along with the general physician. Within a short period, it earned countrywide fame. Regarding treatment, operation, and people from all over the country started coming for operations. Moreover, the departments of ENT, SKIN, and Psychiatry have also opened increasing. The increasing number of eye patients demanded a vast hospital and grand hospital with modern equipment and facilities that were established on the people of Lahore contributed to its construction. This hospital was constructed where the small dispensary was established in 1979. Patients can get treatment on the ground floor and work on other floors is being done very fast.
Almost five or six hundred patients have been examined and treated in Muhammad Medical Trust. This hospital has been honoured that the Toyo University of Japan has included it in its syllabus. At Muhammadi Medical Trust, the memorable moments are those when a child gets his eye operated who has not seen the world before. The pleasure not only of the child but also of his parents, relative and hospital staff is worth seeing after the operation when he lees the world, his parents and his sisters and brothers. Needy or deserving patients can be operated free or on discounted fees. The services of doctors of diabetes, cardiac E.N.T, psychiatry, Skin, Kidney, and Gall bladder are hired besides general physicians only examine and treat only in 40 Rupees. Besides eyes diseases Awareness expedition for hygiene, precautions for the patients, to educate attendants for better care of the patients, epidemics, and their precautionary measures are also launched. Moreover, the literature is distributed regarding respect of teaching, wastage of water, and patriotism, and expedition is launched on social media too. Free CBC was provided when the epidemic of Dengue spread.
