Horrible impression! When I downloaded the app, there is a message that I have to order the food through the website. I can't even create an account or register in the app! Second thing is that I can't decide to go with them if I can't see what specific food items they offer in the first place. Also, very limited cuisines other than Korean, Indian, and Chinese.

why is there even an app when one has to go to the website either way? I wish I had ready the comments beforehand. i am worried about my first order.

Received order via mail. The quantity is appalling. The photos misled that each items can serve 1 person but in fact all 5 together won't serve a person. 2 tiffins were nearly empty. Cancelled thr subscription promptly.

Irresponsible and unacceptable service quality. Doordash is much much more reliable. Ordered dinner for my family 2 days ahead and got a last minute notice that the main dish was sold out around 5pm. The rest of the order was actually delivered around 2:30 pm and they could not tell me this before that?! My family got home around 6pm starving and kids especially. We had to figure out the dinner plan after we got home starving until 7pm.

Horrible experience. Last time, the driver gave me someone else's order and left before I could check it. After persuading, they gave me a refund and 10% off of the next order. So obviously I had to order one more time to make use of the coupon. This time, the driver left my food off at the front door. It was 20 seconds between the door bell ringing and my opening it. Phew. And I have an item missing this time. I'm never going to order again from Taro. They have a thoroughly careless team and drivers who absolutely don't care. I'll keep everyone updated when my story comes out elsewhere.

About this app

Taro is a chef-to-table marketplace for healthy, authentic homestyle meals that are delivered directly to you. We connect you with local chefs who are already preparing your favorite homemade food each week so you can place an order and #EatHappy in the comfort of your own home.

CHOOSE FROM HANDPICKED LOCAL CHEFS
We’ve found the most talented and passionate chefs in the area in order to bring you the most delicious and nutritious homestyle meals available. Specializing in a variety of cuisines—from Indian to Korean, Vietnamese to Mediterranean and beyond—our chefs represent all corners of the globe with unique recipes that have been passed down generations. Dietary restrictions? No problem! Our chefs craft meals to suit every need, and tag their food appropriately—whether you are gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, low-carb, or anything in between. Reviews and comments from other foodies help you decide whom to order from. We discover the talent, so you can get the deliciousness!

WE MAKE IT EASY TO PLAN YOUR MEALS
Because our chefs are dedicated to quality, they generally only cook small batches on the day of the week that they publish their menu for. This gives them the time they need to plan, shop for, and create amazing foods just for you and your unique palate. When you’re planning your meals for the week, simply look up the schedule and menu for your favorite chef (or chefs), and order your desired items based on who’s cooking the food you crave that week.

FAMILY-STYLE PORTIONS
Unlike traditional take-out, you have control over the quantity of each item you purchase. Whether you’re feeding two or ten, you can select the amount of each entrée and side you order. The majority of our chefs’ menu items come in family-style servings that make it easy to provide a healthy, delectable meal for your family or friends that feels homemade.

LOOK FORWARD TO FRESH FOOD
Our online ordering system is built for busy people; there are no complicated forms to fill out or hoops to jump through. When the chef has prepared your food, we’ll deliver it to you in an insulated bag to keep it fresh. In fact, the hardest part of ordering is often deciding what to eat!
