The concept is awesome but the technology needs some work, the software and the hardware. The range is not good, even when boosted and the auto unlock doesnt always work. Sometimes it locks immediately even though I have it set to auto lock at 1 hour. I like the fact that I can install the app on multiple phones and use them all as seperate keyless entry door keys. (Without passes). Update: There should be a notification of when it's locking and unlocking.

To be fair, pairing was painful. The lock was flawless once the upgrade finished after a few failures. The wifi connect needed to be reset a couple of times. After all that though, I've connected it also via Google Home and everything seems solid now. I love the log of entries and how you can't tell it's a smart lock, since I live in an apartment.

Just installed a level bolt, with the level connect. Overall the installation went smooth, though I did have to chisel out some space for the bolt to fit properly. Then I tried to install the software. Rather than upgrading directly to the latest firmware, it worked through a cycle of updating 3 or 4 interim firmwares. With multiple retries for each. The connect could not find my wifi which is very strong in the location I chose. Finally the app seems very slow on a S23 Ultra.

The app now opens almost every time I sit my phone down. I see no way to change a setting for this, so I am guessing it is a bug. As far as functionality, it has not worked through my Ring app for ages. It will only work if I am on my wifi, i.e., very close proximity to my door.

Update!! So we are back to the same issue again. This is annoying now. Update! So, after 3 conversations with support, it was discovered that the firmware update glitched. We were able to factory reset the bolt and everything is working well. Offline on Ring. App shows out of range while standing next to it for almost 10 secs before it recognizes the bolt. Worked with Ring great for 3 months... not anymore.

Updating my review. Remote lock/unlock now available through Connect device. Google Home support available now as well. The only other feature still missing is schedled lock. That should be easy since it's software. Thought that would be the first requested feature update implemented. Oh, well. Hopefully that is coming soon. Good show, Level team. One more star to go...
