This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing My Coast on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Live safety data detailing tides, sea conditions, weather, local facilities and amenities, helping you make the best decisions, before and during your visit to the coast.

My Coast Limited is a coastal safety app developed in collaboration with the RNLI, MET Office, Marine Coastguard, SWW and the Universities of Plymouth and Exeter. Our vision is to improve survival rates for coastal incidents and enable better decision making before entering the water or visiting the coast.

My Coast gives you all the information you need, at your fingertips, to choose the best location for a safe, enjoyable day at the beach. You'll have live safety data detailing tides, sea conditions, weather, local facilities
and amenities, helping you to make the best decisions both before and during your visit. You'll also get push notifications of any unfolding incidents or changes in safety information based on your location.

The app will allow the user to be able to select the coastal activity they are interested in (for example: paddle-boarding, surfing, swimming) and then select which amenities they require (For example: a cafe, parking, toilets). Real-time data on location, weather, wind speed and direction, activities and amenities highlighted will provide the user with a filterable list of the best locations on the coast for the required activity on that day.
