User experience is a bit laggy, it takes more than 2 minutes to reflect pairing with watch and readiness to load another child. No notification received when kid went to the bathroom. It should also notify when kid leaves play area and restaurant. Tested it at Navaho Spur in Brackenfell. Great idea, but execution needs loads of improvement. Another restuarant uses the magnetic tags for clothes and that works amazingly well. It can only be removed with the device, anyone can remove a watch.

at Navaho Spur. Good, but got a Kid in Bathroom notification when she played in the upstairs corner that is situated above the Bathroom. would also like to get a notification if they are outside of play area. Feel a notification if they are outside the Main entrance is too late. Also concerned about how easy it would be for someone else to remove the watch..maybe consider a notification if the watch is removed

Nice idea. But still many bugs to work out. For eg How do you reset it, when kid was in bathroom, how do you change it back to ready after alert. And alert was very late. And just got an alert now, and was at restaurant on Monday, so how do you disconnect a band from your app? Not enough instructions about it

Nothing to complain. The features is so good and the quality is very impressive too. There is no longer a risk of letting your child play outside. The living environment becomes safe and reliable.

About this app

Childguard is a modern solution to child safety in public spaces. Childguard has some of the following features at selected restaurants:

>Realtime notifications when entering or leaving the play area.
>Realtime notifications when entering danger zones.
>Ties in with our robust smart band.

KIDZ1st (Pty) Ltd is a technology company specializing in indoor and confined space tracking solutions. Early on, we identified a key security risk and pain point in the restaurant industry based around the issues of child trafficking and safety regarding potential abuse scenarios.

The issue we uncovered was based around a lack vision at all times around restaurants, creating unsafe environments for children when their parents cannot keep a watchful eye on them. To combat this, KIDZ1st has created an innovative solution to make play areas and restaurants safe again.

Recent events in South African Media regarding the safety of children have highlighted that there is a clear problem in that area of the restaurant industry in South Africa.

KIDZ1st has the ideal and most cost-effective solution to the problem through the use of modern technologies and methodologies. We aim to put family safety back into family restaurants. We at Kidz1st are very passionate about child safety and therefore we made it our business.
