Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing CM10.1 Translucent Theme on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Nice theme. I love the transparency. But when using PAC the transparency of status bar goes away and it becomes black. Never mind, take 5 stars for s good free theme!!!

About this app

NOTE1: This theme won't be updated for other cyanogenmod versions. Support ends with CM10.1.
NOTE2: You need root and a custom rom like Cyanogenmod 9, 10 and 10.1 to use this theme. If you don't know what I'm talking about please don't download this theme because you won't be able to use it.

[This theme requires a ROM with Theme Engine (like Cyanogenmod)]

This is Translucent CM theme for CM10.1 (Cyanogenmod). Many apps of your rom will become translucent! This means that you will see all that is "behind" the app that you are using. For more info see screens.The apk size is very small because most of the work is done with xml files.

NOTE: I am aware that the fact that you can see what is behind the apps limits the visibility. If you download this theme I assume that you know this. download only if you like the idea :)
(I am also aware that this theme has some little problems. See below for more infos).

WHAT IS TRANLUCENT:
Apps that depend from Theme.Holo of framework (like various menus,settings,downloads,some stock browser's parts,dsp manager,torch and much other) and many system apps like dialer, contacts, messagging, clock..

KNOWN ISSUE: when closing an app there isn't the system animation (because of the translucent theme used). when opening it's ok.

COMPATIBILITY:
-Translucent theme actually is compatible with XHDPI,HDPI,MDPI,LDPI devices (should be compatible with all devices)
(As I own only a device, send me a mail if there are problems)

INSTRUCTIONS:
-Apply theme in theme chooser and reboot.
-If it says "Sorry this theme is missing assets for your device" apply anyway and reboot.
-if it says "This theme is incorrectly compiled" apply default theme,reboot,apply TranslucentCM, reboot.

NB: The wallpaper that i use in the screenshots is not included in Translucent theme. I prefer to leave that the user choose his favorite wallpaper!
