On all my phones. Have a subscription. However have just got a Xiaomi Redmi 3s and I can not get the app to recognise that the NZ topo map has been installed

No indication given in the outline of the app that the free version does not actually install maps, so without a data connection it is of no use.

Very good quality maps and very usable. I like the ability to change storage location. HOWEVER: 1. It's a pain to manually cache all the maps you might need at all the necessary levels for a given trip 2. Which means you need to pay the $5 for the "add free" version which also happens to allow you to bulk download maps like the NZ Topo ones. And, for me, having paid, the bulk download is not working, miscalculating the tiles required (the number is always different) and freezing after 0% or 1% downloaded, even on a small download. I've got a support request in to their forums and will update if I make progress. It's a deal-breaker if it isn't fixed, hence the two stars for now.

Why download a NZ map if you still need a data connection and there's still no pre-loaded content?
