The app is a COMPLETE MESS. I can't imagine giving an app -this bad- emergency contact permissions. The light needs a firmware update for its bluetooth behaviour so it can keep a better connection BADLY. I can turn the light on with the app but not off. Or has it simply disconnected after six seconds? The answer is 'sometimes'. Fun seeing what mode the light will take go into when I press ANY mode from the list. Sometimes, you don't get to even see the list. Would rate zero stars if possible.

Unable to connect, have tried on Nokia 8 phone and Google Nexus, the hardware is impressive but the software is not fit for purpose, if you want good standards please learn from Garmin software development process and software quality as I never have issues with Garmin tech.

App bricked my light with an update EDIT in response: I contacted support before writing this review.

Just such hard work. No notification that the app needed updating despite it being out for a week, only when trying to use it to ride did it come up and not let me use until I had. Once this was done, had to update firmware on all lights. In total spent about an hour getting everything resolved. Has failed to send crash reports both times I have crashed, but will send them if I lean bike against a wall too hard. Reported last incident to support, get told to give details, heard nothing back.

Fresh bought ACE light , I tried to connect, it tells me to update firmware. I do it and the device gets stuck. No progress and not detectable by the app. 24 hours later the update light on Ace is on and the app still can't find the light. Wasted money!

Great! But would be more amazing if you could set the default power on mode for the ACE as solid and the default brightness as whatever you want... it's a bit annoying that the default power on mode is flashing

About this app

See.Sense’s award-winning bike lights don’t just make you safer on the road. They work with this app to give you a voice.

The technology within our lights can detect any road issues or poor route conditions that you face on your journey. By downloading the all new See.Sense app and connecting it to your lights, you’re then able to share these insights with Planners to help them repair roads quicker, create better cycling lanes and eradicate dangerous cycling areas. All so your rides can be safer, more convenient and more enjoyable.

Through this app, you can:

(new) Ride Stats: find out how far you’ve travelled and how this compares to epic journeys and tasty treats.

Have Your Say: Create better cycling infrastructure for everyone by sharing insights on your rides, or even providing written feedback, with Planners.

Get Low Battery Notifications: On screen alerts, plus a handy power gauge, make sure you know the remaining run time of your lights.

Receive Theft Alerts: The app warns you if your bike is moved when you're not there, delivering an audible alert to your phone.

Send Crash Alerts: If you’re in a crash, an SMS message with your position will be automatically created for you to easily send to a nominated contact.

Control & Customise Your Lights: Change the flash mode, brightness level and flash patterns of your light, or even rename it!

Always Be Up-To-Date: We’ll notify you when a new firmware update for your lights is available so that you can update them over-the-air via the app.
