The app is a COMPLETE MESS. I can't imagine giving an app -this bad- emergency contact permissions. The light needs a firmware update for its bluetooth behaviour so it can keep a better connection BADLY. I can turn the light on with the app but not off. Or has it simply disconnected after six seconds? The answer is 'sometimes'. Fun seeing what mode the light will take go into when I press ANY mode from the list. Sometimes, you don't get to even see the list. Would rate zero stars if possible.

Unable to connect, have tried on Nokia 8 phone and Google Nexus, the hardware is impressive but the software is not fit for purpose, if you want good standards please learn from Garmin software development process and software quality as I never have issues with Garmin tech.

App bricked my light with an update EDIT in response: I contacted support before writing this review.

Just such hard work. No notification that the app needed updating despite it being out for a week, only when trying to use it to ride did it come up and not let me use until I had. Once this was done, had to update firmware on all lights. In total spent about an hour getting everything resolved. Has failed to send crash reports both times I have crashed, but will send them if I lean bike against a wall too hard. Reported last incident to support, get told to give details, heard nothing back.

Fresh bought ACE light , I tried to connect, it tells me to update firmware. I do it and the device gets stuck. No progress and not detectable by the app. 24 hours later the update light on Ace is on and the app still can't find the light. Wasted money!

Great! But would be more amazing if you could set the default power on mode for the ACE as solid and the default brightness as whatever you want... it's a bit annoying that the default power on mode is flashing
