This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Anomia for me on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

Coming out in February 2013

The Anomia for me app is a sample app of what sort of Aphasia training apps can be created using an Android and the AndroidBAT's 'toolbox' for recording audio/video, taking pictures and playing audio/video (Cook, Marquis, Achim, Dessureault, Nguyen, Royle in Press). The application and publication are currently under review and are expected to come out in February 2013.

If you would like to be a 'Beta tester' and give us feedback on the app before it is published contact us, and we will give you a link to the Beta version.
