We drivers strive to make cash and you greedy passengers creating these apps make everything bad. I'm promptly reporting this to Lyft.

This app is supported by Lyft's direct competitor. when compared to my surge map the app displays inaccurately. You don't need an app do do this. the Lyft app will provide 100% accurate surge and non surge pricing for all users here's how. when setting your pick up point, tap and hold you pin right on the map. Then move the pin 2 or 3 doors down the block. now check the price. Still to high, then move it a bit further or in the opposite direction till your ride price comes down or as far as you are willing to walk. Note drivers need you on the curb waiting for them they are trying to make a living. Moving your pin 8 blocks and calling your driver with an I don't know what happened excuse for them to come find you might be considered morally bankrupt. happy trails

very useful app. for drivers saying they are getting the short end of the stick they're wrong. some days I have to get to work at 5 AM. I sure as hell ain't paying $80 for a $25 ride just to arrive on time. I can barely afford transportation as it is. if you claim passengers are greedy you're wrong and if you think $80 for a $25 ride is acceptable then it's clear evidence you're the greedy one and not the one expecting fair pricing for what should be a cheap service. if you drive for something like this and expect to make a ridiculous amount it's on you if think a job like this will make a living. if you can't be fair then get a real job that pays well instead of expecting people to pay 200% the actual cost for their ride.

I'm just putting this out there an fyi. If I see it's prime time and say it's 150 and I get a standard request or a 25. Me as I driver I'm ignoring your request. Lots of drivers would do the same.

About this app

Mustache Managed maps out the Lyft Prime Time values in the area immediately surrounding you, giving you insight on where the cheapest pick-up point may be for your Lyft ride.

    Help & Instructions:

• This app uses Lyft's API to get fare estimates for locations near you, and returns the Prime Time percentages for each one, color coded based on the highest and lowest rates around you.
• Tapping a pin will launch the Lyft app with the pin location as your pick-up point. Tapping an empty place on the map will draw a new grid of surge values centered around the place you tapped.

Note: While this app uses real-time fare estimates provided directly by Lyft, Prime Time rates can change in a matter of seconds, so in the event of any discrepancies between this app and Lyft, the Lyft app will always be correct as it locks in a Prime Time value for a set period of time.

This is the very initial release so bugs are very possible, so please email mustachemanaged@gmail.com with any issues, feedback, or suggestions. (And if you think this looks eerily similar to an app called NoSurge, it is because I made that one as well!)

New features

The app now uses the Google Maps SDK for Android. You must enable location sharing for this app to work, as the search feature is temporarily unavailable as I shift to a new provider due to recent changes to Google's APIs. Please report any and all bugs to nosurgeapp@gmail.com. If you run into any issues, first try uninstalling then reinstalling the app.
