O Câmera SP é um aplicativo para que os cidadãos de São Paulo possam visualizar ao vivo as imagens das câmeras controladas pelo Departamento de Estradas de Rodagem (DER-SP) e algumas câmeras da capital. O monitoramento feito através das câmeras do DER-SP tem como prioridade auxiliar os órgãos públicos no gerenciamento da cidade de São Paulo. Ao utilizar as imagens dessas câmeras, o Câmera SP tem como objetivo dar aos moradores da cidade de São Paulo a possibilidade de também terem acesso a esse monitoramento via dispositivo móvel.
O São Paulo dá ao usuário a possibilidade de visualizar o trânsito em uma determinada rua, de modo que ele possa evitar congestionamento e tráfego lento.
É importante esclarecer que o Câmera SP não é vinculado ao DER-SP, bem como não é um aplicativo oficial da Prefeitura de São Paulo. Esse aplicativo foi feito de cidadão para cidadão.
