O CONGRESSO BRASILEIRO DE NEUROCIRURGIA PEDIÁTRICA é um evento científico que acontece bianualmente, realizado sob a coordenação da Sociedade Brasileira de Neurocirurgia Pediátrica - SBNPed, que, constituída por mérito de todo o grupo, é atualmente uma sociedade reconhecida internacionalmente pela qualidade da produção científica e assistencial de seus membros, com participação ativa no cenário da neurocirurgia pediátrica brasileira e mundial.
Trata-se, portanto, de um evento de grande importância para o crescimento profissional do especialista em neurocirurgia pediátrica, assim como dos médicos residentes e estudantes. A multidisciplinaridade, com inclusão de outras especialidades médicas envolvidas nos cuidados com o sistema nervoso das crianças, como pediatras e de outros profissionais da área da saúde, bem como o impacto social dos temas abordados, como hidrocefalia e disrafismos espinhais, completam o contexto de grande relevância do congresso nos cenários local, regional e nacional.
A Comissão Organizadora está preparando um programa científico de altíssimo nível, que contará com a participação de renomados convidados nacionais e internacionais.
Em 2019, a sua décima terceira edição, pera primeira vez será realizada na capital do Estado do Ceará, que conta com excelente infraestrutura aeroportuária e hoteleira para sediar encontros científicos de grande porte.
