not engaging and easy to use

It does it's job. However 2 problems i encounter. 1 if you use hangouts as your sms app then you will have to deal with constant pop-ups while trying to text. 2 sending/receiving group messages or picture messages is impossible w/o data. Could you please update and allow apps like hangouts and other sms apps to not be badgered by pop-ups

I was really excited to try this but as soon as I tried to start using it (set the time period to have my phone be a dumb phone and hit go) it said it had stopped. Tried a few more times, same thing. Doesn't seem to work.

This app has helped me find it. (And boy, is it better than the one I was in!)

Absolutely love it that I can control my smartphone addiction. As a nice side benefit my battery least for days now.

Great idea. I would love to use this app but unfortunately it didn't work on my phone. I imagine that Google probably makes it difficult for an app like this to work ;)

About this app

If you are addicted to your smartphone and keep looking at it without a particular need, even when you are out with friends, dumbphone is the win-win solution - you can disable all smartphone features for a period of time, so you won't be tempted to look at it and you'll be able to enjoy seeing your friends at the pub, the nature, and the world.

Dumbphone blocks internet connection and disallows running applications, effectively turning your smartphone into a plain old feature-poor phone - only calls and sms.

In case you really need to use your smartphone features before your planned dumbphone time has elapsed, you can still do it (though not immediately, but rather with a delay of several minutes), and that is recorded in the log, so that you constantly see the number of times you have shown weakness and have succumbed to your addiction.

New features

added support for enabling dumbphone for multiple days
