This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing BFA Verify Declarations on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

About this app

This app reads the text messages received by the event scorer and verifies that the checksum matches the checksum produced by the BFA Declarations app. Valid messages are shown in blue text and invalid (altered?) messages are shown in red text. The messages are then added to an Excel sheet prior to uploading to a PC. There is a separate program on the PC that accepts the upload.

New features

Version 1.1.0 removes the gathering of the competitor's phone number and possibly the competitor's name if the name was in the scoring officer's phone contacts. Only the competitor's competition number is provided in the Excel sheet generated for upload. This change is required per the Google Privacy Policy.
Added the capability to connect via Bluetooth in addition to WiFi.
Added the ability to delete old Excel files from the /BFA-Verify folde
