About this app

By converting your current location into an address, combined with information provided to the public by the Victorian Government about potential speed camera sites, Victorian Speed Camera Alerts provides you with alerts when you are currently driving on a road that has a speed camera site, or you are near a permanent camera that measures speed.

The list of camera sites can be displayed via a list (the recommended option for low distraction and low data usage), or a map which will follow your current location once you active alerts (via the "Turn On Alerts" button). To change from the list to the map, go to settings (via the button in the top right corner).

Victorian Speed Camera Alerts is ad supported. However for a $0.99 per year subscription, you can remove the ads. This includes a 1 week free trial, during which you can cancel (via the Play Store) for free at any time before the week is up.

Data Usage Notes:
Victorian Speed Camera Alerts uses mobile data to connect to Google's services to calculate your current street address. If you enable the map view, then mobile data is also used to download and display the map. picoSpace recommends the default "list view" for those who are sensitive to mobile data usage.

Privacy Notes:
This app sends your current location to Google's Maps Services, for conversion into an address ("reverse geocode"). This app does not store your location or GPS data. This app does not transmit your location or GPS data anywhere other than to Google's Maps services to perform the aforementioned reverse geocode.

Disclaimer:
This app by picoSpace PTY LTD is provided on a "best reasonable effort" basis. No responsibility is taken for errors, omissions, or speed traps appearing in locations not displayed.
