Kita telah diperintah untuk ziarah kubur, Rasulullah S.A.W. dan para sahabat juga menjalankan ziarah kubur. Jadi tidak ada dasar sama sekali untuk melarang ziarah kubur, karena kita semua tahu bahwa Rasulullah pernah ziarah ke makam Baqi’ dan mengucapkan kata-kata yang ditujukan kepada para ahli kubur di makam Baqi’ tersebut.

Dalil-dalil tentang ziarah kubur

قَالَ رَسُوْلُ الله صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلّمَ : نَهَيْتُكُمْ عَنْ زِيَارَةِ اْلقُبُوْرِ فَزُوْرُوْهَا

Artinya : Rasulullah S.A.W. bersabda: Dahulu aku telah melarang kalian berziarah ke kubur. Namun sekarang, berziarahlah kalian ke sana. (H.R. Muslim)

عَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُوْلُ الله صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ : اِسْتَأْذَنْتُ رَبِّيْ أَنْ أَسْتَغْفِر لأُمِّيْ ، فَلَمْ يَأذَنْ لِيْ ، وَاسْتأذَنْتُهُ أنْ أَزُوْرَ قَبْرَهَا فَأذِنَ لِيْ

Artinya: Dari Abu Hurairah R.A. Berkata, Rasulullah S.A.W. bersabda: Aku meminta ijin kepada Allah untuk memintakan ampunan bagi ibuku, tetapi Allah tidak mengijinkan. Kemudian aku meminta ijin kepada Allah untuk berziarah ke makam ibuku, lalu Allah mengijinkanku. (H.R. Muslim)
