But you must put the time in! Works well with tasker integration. I have it controlling TV, Freesat Box, Blueray, Kodi (XBMC) on RPI, Lightwaver RF lights, and Rasp Pi Hifiberry music centre, using mpd and VLC. With tasked integration have made the remote smart! Pressing button on Reymote, calls tasker task, I set variables, then Reymote plugin to send UDP etc. This way you can do almost anything. I am using a Keene electronics iranywhere module, but if starting again would use LIRC and RPI.

I have been using this application for a month or so now and it almost seems like the possibilities are endless for IR controlled devices, and even RF controlled devices if you check out the forums for this application. I had brought up suggestions for changes and the Developer was quick to respond and is working on fixes quite quickly. I can't wait for future changes in this application as it grows and develops. It is reasonably simple to use but requires more setup than a normal universal remote. I have paired this up with a Global Cache IP2IR module and it is a very stable setup.

Got my LIRC based simple HTTP server running on on RaspberryPi (OPENELEC- XBMC) work with reYmote in no time. controlling 5 devices. Yet to get accustomed with configuring backgrounds and buttons but does the primary job pretty well.. Look forward to better documentation on how to customize the look and feel. Prasenjit

I couldn't get past the first screen. I got the welcome screen that states that's where all of my remotes will be but I could not find any way past that screen. I tried sliding my finger up, down, left and right. I even tapped the screen but I got no where. It said if you have problems to go to the wiki page or email them.... Well how are you supposed to send a email when there's no email address provided?

Yes, there is a learning curve. It is worth it though. The most feature rich universal remote app out there

When I first started to play around with reYmote lite I quickly found out that I wanted more. Even though I thought that it felt a bit rigid I had not found a real alternative (that I would pay for) so I decided to go for the pro version. Luckily I was wrong about it being rigid – very wrong. As soon as I decided to make this work with my iTach set-up I found out that the more I used it the more the simple I could make it - and making it very intuitive. It's very flexible - but not by default. You have to use your mind to make it the perfect remote but the possibilities and commands are present. The only thing I miss is perhaps a better manual. More examples of how to use commands and assign them correct, since you can do this in a number of ways (my interface on the phone is based on photos of my ir-remotes and I had to invent myself how to jump between the different remotes and to "zoom" in parts of the remote to have big enough bottoms to press). But still - I could do it, so still five stars from me.

About this app

reYmote is a universal remote application for Android devices.

reYmote is highly configurable. The configuration effort is the same as the possibilities: huge!
It may also require deep technical knowledge, depending on what you want to control and how. The "how" also depends on your equipment, how much money you want to spend and what technical skills you have (like electronics or programming).

So please keep in mind that this app may not be designed for you, before downrating the app.

Sadly, I had to stop development on reYmote. There will NOT be any new versions of this app. Sorry.
