This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing TCA Taxi on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Yuck. The TCA app got much worse with the ~2021 version. Only in the last month you can start the app w/o specifying a payment card first. The map cannot be scrolled or zoomed. You cannot specify wheelchair or animals in the pre-booking options. It keeps trying to push to Google Pay instead of "pay in the car" that I always use.

This app was great before this recent change. It deleted my account and removed paypal as a payment option. After adding a credit card it's not listed in my payment options. Only google pay is available. Furthermore, it only gives estimated prices on prebooked trips, before the pre-arranged prices were listed precisely.

SMS never arrives. Cannot log into the app.

Should carry over the price from the earlier screen onto the final screen. Once picked up, by taxi the price should be in LARGE letters taking up the entire screen to make it easy to confirm with the driver. App should send a Pdf receipt to your email address. Upon ride completion.

Disappointing experience. The price estimation of the app was 70% less than I actually had to pay for my ride. Do not trust the estimation, it doesn't work, the real price of your ride is a surprise at the end of it. Good luck!

About this app

With the TCA app you can easily order your taxi in Amsterdam. Our taxis are 24/7 at your disposal. You can always get a TCA taxi within 5 minutes.

After downloading you can order your taxi immediately. Create an account to save your trips, add your favorite destinations and add your payment method.

You can easily order the type of taxi you need. Do you want to be picked up as quickly as possible? Choose ‘taxi’. Are you with a group of 5 to 8 people? Choose ‘Minivan’. Thinking about the environment? Order your zero emission taxi with ‘Green’. Do you want to go to the airport and pay no more than €37,50? Choose our ‘airport’ taxi.

Watch your taxi approaching and see at what time it will arrive. If you enter your destination, you’ll also get an estimation of the price and the duration of the ride. Of course, it is also possible to make a reservation. There are some additional options, like taking extra luggage, bringing your pet or bringing some extra friends.

After ordering your ride, you can see your assigned driver and the license plate of the taxi. When you’ve finished your ride, you can let us know how you experienced your ride by rating your driver.

At TCA, you can pay your taxi any way you like. With cash, a debit or credit card in the taxi, but also with the TCA app. Add your credit card, PayPal account or your customer card and quickly pay your taxi via the app.
