I was looking to check if this mediaplayer would reduce the latency issue i am facing using Android Mediaplayer on rtsp protocol. I tried to use this application and play from a WiFi Camera that runs on rtsp and failed to get it working. It seems it only supports http based urls. I also tried writing an application using the "net.protyposis.android.mediaplayer.VideoView" and passing the rtsp:// url. It seems to get stuck at MediaExtractor.java. The same works fine on the Android Videoview but has a latency. Can send you the error log if required.
