Sailing Race Starts is the best way for a race committee to run sailing races. The horn signals are crisp and perfectly timed. It is also the best way for sailors to practice their starts--Just put your phone in a waterproof pouch and put it in the pocket of your life jacket and go for it. My favorite feature is that you can hook it up to the sound system of your boat using a wire or Bluetooth and then press the synchronize button when you hear the race committee's signals. You can then listen to a voice counting down to the start. For race committees who need a little training, Sailing Race Starts provides prompts along the way about when to raise and lower flags. For that matter, photos of all the race signal flags are provided along with the details about how they are used. The app is very intuitive. You will master it quickly.
