About this app

Rotterdam is de enige echte wolkenkrabbersstad van Nederland, en misschien wel van Europa. In Rotterdam vinden ze dat ze dat mogen zeggen. Hun hoogste gebouwen zijn niet zo hoog als in New York of Hong Kong, maar zij hebben wel een van de oudste wolkenkrabbers van de wereld. De Rotterdammers zijn bijzonder trots op hun skyline, waar ze 75 jaar aan hebben gewerkt. De stad is nog steeds niet af, maar deze unieke hoogbouwwandeling is zeker de moeite waard. Deze stadswandeling is tot stand gekomen in opdracht van en in samenwerking met Stichting Hoogbouw. De lengte van deze wandelroute door Rotterdam is 5,7 kilometer.

Deze wandelroute zul je voor een gedeelte afleggen met het openbaar vervoer. Houd rekening met extra kosten.


Deze smartphone stadswandeling leidt je met herkenbare foto's en heldere instructies langs de mooiste plekjes en is beschikbaar in het Nederlands.


Hoewel je op een willekeurig punt deze wandeling in Rotterdam kunt beginnen, kun je in de app kiezen uit een aantal vooraf gedefinieerde instappunten. Eén van de instappunten is op het Stationsplein voor het Centraal Station Rotterdam (centrumzijde) (http://www.WalktheCity.eu/Wolkenkrabbers/CS).
