About this app

Find out the effects of pollution in your city every hour together with a set of recommendations for how to best protect your skin.

Every day we are exposed to several factors that can age and damage our skin: cigarette smoke, air pollution, irresponsible sunbathing etc. Protecting our skin using creams should be standard practice in preventing skin problems, including skin cancer. However, not all the creams on the market are appropriate for our skin type. It’s important to know which creams are most effective in protecting your skin against environmental factors and the sun, whilst finding out creams which suit your skin the best.

We have developed a skin aging index based on air pollution and ultraviolet radiation coming from the Copernicus Atmospheric data service. The indicator is a rough estimation of the risk of skin ageing based on real-time data which measures the main environmental factors affecting our skin. The classification of risk is based on the values considered by the World Health Organization.
