Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Vege Scan on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

About this app

Vegetarian version.

It happens that some products of everyday life is not vegetarian, apart from products very easy to recognize as meat or fish, behind a lot of processed products are hiding additives and / or non vegetarian foods.

For example, candies that often contain the E428 additive (gelatin) or some cheeses contain rennet (stomach extract from animals), or ..

Put end to end it becomes complicated for vegetarians, or for their loved one, to buy a product and analyze and know all additives by heart.

To help you and / or in case of doubt, or if you do not know what a vegetarian eats this application you will be very helpful.

The very first version is available, it does not yet support the barcode scanner type EAN13 (soon other formats will be available). So you have to add the bar code by hand, however several improvements will come in the next versions!

Disclaimer: This app supports ingredient lists and applies an algorithm to detect a product as a vegetarian or not. Like any computer tool it is not impossible to encounter bugs and / or erroneous information. Thank you for being aware of this and use this app as a help and not as 100% certain information.

A version for vegan and other versions are under development.
