About this app

The Department of Microbiology, STNM Hospital, Gangtok routinely compiles resistance data and along with the Antibiotic policy committee, STNM Hospital has provided the doctors from the state of Sikkim with up to date guidelines in the form of handbooks.

From this year the compiled antibiotic resistance profile from January – December 2018 is being presented in the form of a mobile app for ease of use to all the doctors in the Govt sector.

These guidelines are based on current micro-biologic data, national guidelines and faculty expert opinion. Faculty from various departments have reviewed and approved these guidelines.

The recommendations given in this guide are meant to serve as treatment guidelines for starting empirical treatment at STNM Hospital as well as District Hospitals. They should NOT supplant clinical judgment or clinician’s consultation when indicated.
