About this app

Roulette! Take Me Places lets you explore random places on Earth using Google Street View, and the Wikipedia entry lets you read up on the facts and history behind the location.

This map and street view roulette brings you to a different place on earth every time you click for a new location. you can also explore specific locations by dragging the Tourist Pegman around the map.

The interactive Google Street View lets you tour cities, trek mountains, browse museums, explore ancient ruins, kayak in scenic rivers, hop islands and virtual dive in reefs - without leaving the comfort of home.

The interactive Google Map allows you to see the bird's eye view of the current location of interest. There's also option to view the map in different modes (normal, terrain, satellite, hybrid).

The Wikipedia list provide a synopsis of the location's history, geographic background and other interesting trivia. Clicking on the link opens a browser to the wikipedia link itself, and immerse yourself in the depths of the wiki knowledge base. This is a random learning classroom of geography, location history and interesting trivia.

The app is made using Google Maps V2 API, Google StreetView and Wikipedia search API.

*Do note that you need internet access to access Google StreetView and Wikipedia data.
