Old app was good, with a few, very few limitations. New app is a bust. I liked that the old app mimicked the wall device. Now totally different. Many functions no longer available. Please let us go back to the old app if we want to. The new one doesn't make it.

Logging in is a pain if you make a mistake. 1ST problem is that the login screen is landscape. You cannot see what you're typing. 2ND problem is if you get user name or password wrong, you cannot correct or delete the user name or password. You have to completely close the app and try again. As of 02/2021, I cannot use the app because it says it is disconnected and to check wifi at the thermostat. The thermostat is fine. The app has been useless for months. NEW APP - NO OPTION TO CONNECT TO WIFI

As I mentioned on the Carrier Home review, I'm not sure how, but you managed to make things so much worse. The MyInfinity app has now lost some function, too, including the ability to set times for overrides (overrides now say "NaN:00 PM"). Seriously, some tweaks to this one (mostly graphic interface) would have been fine...like fixing not being able to see what you type when logging in.

I love this app. I didn't realize how much until I downloaded the new Carrier Home app. For people that prefer an interface that works exactly like their home until, there should be an option to keep the existing app. I hate the new app. This one works exactly like I'm setting it at home. Carrier, this doesn't even need any additional development. Leave it as is and let us continue to use it. It took me a long time to update to the smart thermostat and it's our only option with this system.

This app works flawlessly. It resembles the Infinity Touch thermostat and that's how I like it! The OBVIOUS answer to the debate as to whether we should switch to the new version of the app or stay with the original version is to MERGE THEM BOTH TOGETHER. So that when you position your phone in portrait mode the app is the new version and when you position your phone in landscape mode, the app reverts back to the original version and everyone is happy (well almost everyone).

This has worked great for 5 years, but my thermostat has not been able to connect with the Carrier server for several days, so I can't access it from the app. HELP!
