Tap "Light Mode," and the display blinks at 40 Hz while it also provides binaural tones. It has a pink nose generator for while you sleep, which it says is good for Alzheimer's. I don't know why the blinking display is limited to only a dozen small white dots -- why not turn the whole display white-and-blinking, and why not offer the camera flash? Those would make it easier to share the Light with a friend. Instead of binaural freqs, i would rather Bluetooth 40 Hz to my stereo.

I really liked the concept of this app and the fit with recent research on 40 hz light and sound potentially impacting abeta and tau. After reading app info...it's made clear by developer that the lights are 30 hz due to 60 hz limit of phone screens. Don't understand why this is limitation...but accept it.

About this app

Alzheimer's VR is an application designed to work like a Mind Machine (also known as Psychowalkman). Alzheimer's VR has been specifically designed for 40 Hertz flickering light which has been known to improve memory & eliminate Alzheimer's in mice. Alzheimer's VR also has binaural beats to stimulate certain areas in the brain. I recommend a single 20 minute session ever 24 hours. If there is no noticeable improvement in 2 weeks then this application is not for you. For the application to work properly a VR phone display (like Google Cardboard) & headphones are required.

Goal:
To find a means of treating the 46 million people that suffer from Alzheimer's disease.

How to use:
Turn your brightness up, set volume in the middle (medium) with headphones on & eyes closed.

WARNING: If you suffer from epilepsy please do not use this application.

This method & possible therapy is not a replacement for any prescribed medication. If you are taking medication for your condition please continue to do so.

This application is intended for individuals that suffer from Alzheimer's & memory loss. If you feel dizzy, nauseous or any discomfort please stop the session immediately.

Other features and tech specs:
Match 3 puzzle included to help with problem solving and memory loss.

Sleep mode:
Recent research indicates that pink noise may be beneficial during sleep.

This version can only achieve 30hz as it was designed to work with current phones that run at 60hz max display settings. If you have a newer phone that can support 120hz the 40hz flicking light can be achieved. Our 120hz compatible version can be downloaded here.

New features

Puzzle added:
To help with memory loss.

Sleep mode added:
Recent research indicates that pink noise may be beneficial during sleep.

This version is designed for 60hz screens although please note that the 40hz flickering light can not be achieved on a 60hz screen. It is a stable 30hz flickering light. If your phone has a 120hz display then 40 hz flickering can be achieved. Please check the description for a link to our 120hz prototype.
