About this app

A2D2 is an initiative to safely return an individual to their residence if they are unable to drive. Any Department of Defense ID card holder, including active duty, guard, reserve and retired military, DoD civilians and dependents are eligible for the A2D2 service.

The A2D2 team says, “Always have a plan and a wingman when going out, but if your plan falls through or unforeseen circumstances arise, call A2D2! Never drink and drive! We will get you home safely!”

The A2D2 app allows users to request a driver to their location with a few taps of a button and provides drivers with automatic GPS navigation to the requestor’s location. Currently, the app service is limited to a 25 mile radius around Maxwell AFB, but more bases will be added in future updates.

Potential volunteers for Airman Against Drunk Driving still need to apply through their bases local A2D2 organization to be added to the driver profile list before they can login and utilize the app.
